【生活総合ビジネス専攻】留学生、茶の湯に出会う [Business Administration] International Students Encounter the Way of Tea
西日本シティ財団「留学生茶道教室」に参加しました。International students participated in the Tea Ceremony Class for International Students, organized by the Nishinippon City Foundation.
2026年7月12日、今年度入学したばかりの留学生たちが茶道教室に参加しました。裏千家茶道教室教授志村宗恭先生より直接ご教示賜りました。
On July 12, 2026, international students who enrolled this academic year participated in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Under the guidance of Sokyo Shimura, a tea master of the Urasenke School of Tea, they received hands-on instruction in the art of the Japanese tea ceremony.
初めて触れる茶道、相手への思いやりに溢れた所作の一つひとつに感動していました。受け継がれる「もてなし」の心がまさに日本の文化そのものです。ビジネスとホスピタリティを教育コアに持つ本専攻の学びと深く関わっています。
For the international students, it was their first experience with the Japanese tea ceremony. They were deeply impressed by its graceful movements and the spirit of consideration and respect embodied in every gesture.The spirit of omotenashi (Japanese hospitality), which lies at the heart of the tea ceremony, is a fundamental aspect of Japanese culture. It also reflects the educational philosophy of the Business Administration Major, where business knowledge and hospitality are central to the curriculum.
また、留学生茶道教室は福岡市博多区住吉の「楽水園（らくすいえん）」で行われました。精華学園の創設者故吉田マツ先生ゆかりの地です。
The class was held at Rakusui-en in Fukuoka City, Hakata Ward, a historic Japanese garden has close ties to the late Matsu Yoshida, the founder of Seika Gakuen.
故吉田マツ先生は、「日本的にして世界的な女性たれ」という教育理念を提唱されました。その理念は、117年の時を越え、国境を越えて受け継がれています。今日では、日本人女性だけでなく、世界中の若い女性たちに向けられた普遍的なメッセージとなり、日本の伝統と文化を大切にしながら、グローバルな視野を持つ女性を育む理念として生き続けています。
The late Matsu Yoshida, founder of Seika Gakuen, advocated the ideal of “being Japanese in spirit and global in outlook.” Today, her message is no longer intended only for Japanese women; it resonates with young women around the world. For more than 117 years, her educational philosophy has transcended both time and national borders, inspiring generations of women to remain deeply rooted in Japanese mind while embracing a global perspective.
